Plan and methodology for the Long Duration Courses

Methodology of the Spanish classes

During classes, all language skills are worked on (listening and reading comprehension and spoken and written expression). In addition to grammar content, cultural and historical aspects of Spanish culture are also taught to achieve better language immersion in our country. Besides the classes, activities outside the classroom are carried out so that students can put their knowledge to the test in real situations.

Student assessment is carried out on an ongoing basis through various activities and tests. In addition, the teacher provides personal, private follow-up through our platform.

Excursions and extracurricular activities

Since we believe that learning a language is not only about studying grammar, at Academia Alba al Español we encourage language learning and cultural immersion through special activities that usually take place outside the classroom.

– Free activities:

  • Competition-style challenges to discover the city and practice Spanish.
  • Traditional breakfast with “churros”. In this case, the student only needs to pay for what they order.
  • Tapas day to get to know our cuisine. This activity is free; the student only needs to pay for what they order.
  • Movie day (usually once a week). Students can watch films and documentaries in Spanish on our center’s interactive screens, in order to learn about Spanish and Latin American culture.
  • World Literature Day celebration, language exchanges..

– Activities that are not free, although they may be included in some courses:

  • Guided tours of the historic center of Murcia.
  • Walk through the mountains and visit to the Fuensanta sanctuary.
  • Excursion to Monteagudo and its castle.
